Daboya, Savannah Region – August 7, 2026 Teaching and non-teaching staff of Savannah College of Education in Daboya have issued an urgent public appeal to the Government of Ghana, calling for the immediate clearance of their appointments and payment of salaries after nearly a year without remuneration. In a statement signed by Concerned Staff of Savannah College of Education, Daboya, the workers expressed deep concern over what they describe as prolonged delays in the processing of their appointments following the institution's absorption. According to the statement, no member of staff including the Principal and Vice Principal has received an official appointment letter or been cleared onto the government payroll through the Controller and Accountant General's Department.
